OFFSHORE FISHING REPORTS-- Quepos, Costa Rica, Marina Pez Vela

APRIL 2024

April was a great month for variety. We had several Wahoo, blue runner, and some LARGE mahi mahi/dorado caught.

The crews had double digit sailfish this month!

There were some yellowfin tuna around two to three days a week.

There were a few Marlin caught, more just teased us and wanted to play with the baits rather than eating them.

We have acquired another boat, making our fleet eight. We will now have a 34 ft custom express. It is in the process of getting TWIN CAT motors at 700 HP we hope to splash by May 10.

Blue Daze is also receiving a Repower! It will have new TWIN CAT motors at 900HP, 2 new transmissions, and a new generator.

The roosterfish are on FIRE!

We had some ladies in the Pescadora and they placed 1st overall in the TUNA DIVISION, with the TUNA Expert, Junior Smith on Stress Reeliever.

There were still tons of dorado around and some bottom dropping for dinner.
